Boardwalk Photo Booth

The other night John took me to the boardwalk again. It was when we were w/o electricity so we were trying to fill time. We couldn't sit at home or spend another minute in the OC place. I saw someone sitting in the photo booth and thought it was an interesting picture.

Then John suggested we take some pics. As we have never been to the boardwalk and not done it I agreed.

We waited for the pictures to come out of the slot.

The same pictures of people from the '60's showing examples of how to pose that I used to see when I was young are still on display on the booth. Funny.

Here's our shots. The good, the bad, the ugly. John said we were boring.

It got me thinking about all the photos we had taken on the boardwalk and I started rooting around. I did come up with some. It's a nice record.

Yes I had some bad hair days but it's nice to see the kids little.

I have to say that this was a fun and very funny post. I found myself smiling and chuckling to myself as I looked at those photos. You know, I have never had my picture taken in one of those photo booths.

Thanks for the smile!

Antonio! Never in a photo booth?! Shock and amazement!?! You haven't experienced OC until you jam in one of those w/as many people as you can and make silly faces. I have them all the way back to HS (somewhere). You better plan a getaway.

Rita?!? (More shock and amazement!?!) But I don't think it's the last round. I could be wrong cause Mark is a wiley ole coyote but I don't think it is.

Mary....Those photobooth pics are absolutely fabulous. In the first place, I remember the machines. I don't get to where there are any anymore. I haven't seen one in years. Next time I see one, I'm goin' in. I hope Mrs Spadoman is with me.

My daughter tells me there is one at the Mall of America. I have been there, but I NEVER make it a destination. We both refuse to frequent an establishment that they tore down a perfectly good outdoor stadium to build! We'll make an exception and go for the photobooth.

Secondly, seeing you and your children, "through the years" is so cool. I feel like I know you, well, I do, sort of, you know what I mean, know you know you. Thanks so much for sharing your memories. It brought memories of my own back to me, good ones, and a smile. Thanks.

Spadoman- A very nice comment. I am glad to have you know me and I do try to just be me. What else can I do? I feel like I know you. That's the beauty of these blogs. Now here's my idea. Maybe you can find an old photo booth and keep it in your shop. Wouldn't that be fun? Pile the family in there any ole time. Then you don't have to go to Mall of America. They charge $3 a pop now so it could be a money maker at that.

Hey DA! All back and rested I see. I tried to comment the other yesterday but blogger wasn't having it. I will try again. Thanks for the vote.

Hi Mary...cool pix. I remember the old photo booths. As teenagers (in the 50s) we would get pix with our girlfriend du' jour. The guys would try to see who had the most photos of the most girls. But telling spadoman to get the whole family in one wouldnt work. He's already bigger than a booth and Mrs spadoman, their two daughters, one husband and three kids (with a fourth coming) would spill out onto the boardwalk. Now THAT would be a cool pic.

Those pictures are so great - but let's be honest, it's the years of happy memories that are so striking. Kudos to you & John & the kids. You all love each other so well.

Carbuncle- That's part of the fun...trying to fit everyone in and the resulting pictures

Dawn- Yeah, find that picture and post it.

Andie- You've come up for air! Thanks for the compliment. It's all hard work believe me. But worth it. I think I got lucky.

Donnie- I can accomodate if you'd prefer the feet.
