Michael News

I heard from Michael the Saturday after Thanksgiving. His email said, "we didn't get to enjoy Thanksgiving. We had two missions that day from 1am - 9am, then slept and then from 4pm - 11pm. I'll try to email more often but we stay busy. Love, Michael"
He said he would email some pictures the next day but they never came and I am sure they are keeping him busy.

I myself will be busy this week mosaicing the backsplash of a kitchen. Yes, finally the bay/heron scene is being installed. I will take pictures.

I'm delighted to hear that Michael was able to call you at least close to Thanksgiving! He hasn't been forgotten here. And thanks for keeping us informed, as well!!

I'm glad you heard from Michael, too! I know it is tough for you and others having loved ones in Iraq, especially at the holidays.

By the way, your thanksgiving table looks beautiful! My sister's was pretty plain...but I did dress it up with an 'impeach' sign. =)

Thank you everyone. I will be sure to forward your good wishes.

Bluegrrrl- I go to this great Balinese shop and buy these beautiful batik wraps and sew them together for a table cloth. My table always has COLOR! Actually I can't live w/o alot of color. The actual table is just a piece of crap board on some legs my husband temporarilly (yea right) made 5 years ago w/the promise of a new one on the way. I just keep the batik tableclothes on it.
I must say I should have used your idea and added an impeach sign. That would have got the conversation flowing!

When I was over seas I really did not care that much about the holidays. In that kind of atmosphere it is the last thing on your mind.

I am happy that Michael is ok and able to keep in touch.
