Wow Mary, that is brilliant!

Now, I don't know what color scheme is in the house, and I don't know the owners' tastes, but I can't for the life of me understand why they made you change that spectacular blue sky to the red one.

I mean you pulled it off ok, but to me, it just doesn't have the same feeling as the original.

I was thinking how hard it must be on your back to bend into the backsplash. Tedious, but the artwork is out of this world. This will probably be featured on some fancy schmancy home magazine and they will interview you and you'll fly all over the world doing these things and drink martinis.

Great job Mary! Not bad for a girl, LOL, just joking!! Put that frying pan away! I have to agree with the change. While it is beautiful, the change made no sense.

Cream- Took me awhile to perfect it but I think I finally got it.

No- Thank you.

TUA- Oh it was...

Mark- Funny. NOT!

Willowtree- There were several changes to my original drawing. There was no sun in the blue section originally because it was in what is now the sunset section. My plan flowed better I thought. But in the end they pay so they say right? It's hard when it's your art though.

Bluegrrrrl- Please do join me!

Peacechick- I thought my back would take a beating too but as it turned out it was my feet. Ah well. I am so with you on the fantasy. If it happens I will jet by and pick you up.

Quasar- Thank you. Yes I think I will have 2! And thanks for the link.

Donnie- Someday Donnie...
(I agree it lost its flow but I do love color.)

Katie- Thanks for coming by and thank you for the compliment.

VIking- I agree. It's nice to have someone who is not afraid of color.

You are welcome. Thank you for popping in to my art blog.

Now.. I want to learn to do this..lol..

Simply so beautiful , interesting. Life gets in the way when I want to play! ;)

How heavy would they be in panels? mmm 14 x 20 on up...? Do you cut your own pieces then? Buy the boxes of colours? ;) So curious... How did you get started?

Katie- They are pretty heavy as they are done on various types of sheet rock. Depends where they will be installed. I have never weighed one. This particular job I did on the site though.
I glaze bisqued tiles to get the colors I want and more importantly to have designs in the tile rather than just a solid color. It makes it far more interesting.
I started out working for a potter who made hand-glazed sinks, tiles and mosaics. It was just a lucky break to have had the opportunity to work with her and learn this. I was there for 3 years. After I left her I slowly began putting together my own studio just because I still had a need to do the work. I never imagined I would really get jobs. But I did!
