Fun Monday

This is my first Fun Monday. I'm in by way of Willow Tree of A Dingo's got my Barbie. The topic is "My Blogging Environment". I have to post quickly and literally because my son has big oral surgery this morning.

Here is where I sit when I am blogging. A very small, narrow room but one of my favorites.

You have a very tidy workstation and how lovely to be surounded by family mementos. I can't believe the design on your unit is so similar to one I have in our sitting room (not where I have the computer) what a coincidence

What a comfy little blogging den! Makes me want to sit down and blog. I have the same Roman blinds in my bedroom/blogging den, except in off-white. My blogging den is a mess though...not nearly as tidy or welcoming as yours. I'd post a pictures but mothers everywhere would be horrified.

p.s. I hope the oral surgery goes well, without too much pain and suffering!

Okay...tell the truth. Did you straighten everything out before you took the pic. If not; Iam envious of your organizational skills. If so; nice job, looks cozy.

What a great blogging den, compact and practical.

Great blogging spot, Mary.
Personally, being too nosey, I'd have to be overlooking the window.

You have a beautiful home!

Good luck with the surgery. It's always scarier when it's surgery on someone you love rather than yourself.

Chrisb- My husband made it all. He's very good. All I said was I wanted bookshelves along the whole one side of the wall and a place for the computer. Handy to have him around.

Bluegrrrrl- You're so funny. I think mothers are pretty used to being horrified.
Johnny seems to be doing fine right now but he did have me running all morning. I'm sure it looks worse than it is. And he's askng to eat now so there is my sign that we are doing better.

Carbuncle- I am a neat freak. Things do get away from me now and again though. I try not to be to freakish about because otherwise I am pretty laid back...I think.

Beccy- It is pretty perfect. I don't know what else I would want except a laptop and absolutely no wires.

Cream- There is nothing out here to look at except a field which is nice to look at sometimes.

MDJ-Thank you.
Surgery went well and thank you again. It is hard to see your child in any state of discomfort.

Coffee- The luck worked. We're back and A-OK.

Great room! Nice, cozy office space. Love the shelves. And the hardwood floor.

Hope your son is doing well!

Nice space, and clean. You either have no dogs, or you own a vacuum cleaner and a duster.

Hope the surgery goes well.

I'm a slob, so I'm very in awe! It's the perfect size...I mean...how much space do you really need to blog in anyway?
That front bookshelf on the left looks like it's pulled out a little...is there something behind it? Is that where you stashed your junk before you took the picture?

My wife wants your knicknacks AND your shelves!! Trouble maker!:)

If I posted a picture of this swamp I plow my way thru to find my computer, the joint would be condemned! "Neat" is an attribute I was apparently born without.

Your husband does GREAT work...I had built-in cabinet envy, lol.

I'm curious about the pictures on the wall...does the artist live in your home? It looks like many wonderful future blog posts are sittin' on your shelves, waiting to be written. There's so much extraordinary in the ordinary.

Looks like the perfect blogspot for plenty of inspiration :).

Amy and Kila- Thanks

WT- No dogs and I have a vacuum. Imagine.

MIn- Bookshelf is doing some kind of optical illusion thing. But hey a secret passageway would be v cool.

Peter- Very open.

TUA- I got lucky on the husband w/building skills thing. Tell Annette just pure luck o the draw.

Robin- I think I have a link on the side to Mike Baggs art. He is a friend of ours and whenever I see him he does a doodle and I snatch it and frame it. Once I went to dinner at his house and one of those framed pictures you see was taped to his front door teasing us. I put in the car. He's very talented.

Katie- How bout yours?
