Blogging for Peace

I didn't have the heart for this weeks Tuesday Topic for One Million Blogs for Peace. It was find and post a photo of the Iraq war. If it takes a picture to change your mind about the war...and you haven't seen the one yet to do it then you just aren't paying attention. Feel free to google the subject.

Looks like the Irak war is spilling out into Algeria. It has been relatively peaceful since 2003...

Katie :-)

Yoga- Both please.

Dawn- People have an amazing ability to ignore the pictures. But you are right. Ya never know.

Cream- I know. I heard about it. It makes me so sad that it's spilling into other countries. Is your father safe?

Maria- Faster please.

I have created several YouTube videos of the war, one specifically of the soldiers..its very moving and its also quite sad.

But pictures won't change minds I don't think..unless like the 'livingroom war' aka Vietnam..we are bombarded nightly with the images. This time around..the MSM isn't doing that. wonder why...

Cream- I am so glad to hear they are okay.

Peacechick- Thank you! If I had posted a picture it would have been the same one you chose.

Alice- You were great!

Dusty- I would like to see that bombardment. Maybe it would help.

this week's "assignment" was hard...maybe the hardest of all so far.

I got too sad every time I went to my blog, so I posted happy pictures tonight.

I understand how you feel. One of these days we won't have to blog about this crap any more.

Peace and hugs.

I largely avoid the pictures. I am so mad about what I see in print that the pictures might send me over some kind of edge.

Dear Mary,
I've seen some really shocking pics that ought to be shown in the MSM but won't because those would truly stop the war in its tracks.
Hope all is well, we've been battling all kinds of germs so as you can imagine with a family of young's one of 'them weeks'!
have you heard anything from Michael?

I don't look at pictures of Iraq anymore. How many pictures are out there, and how many people really look at them, trying to see the truth in them? Most of the pictures I look at our the soldiers who have been killed in Iraq, the young proud faces. It hurts, a lot.
