Awards Ceremony

Here's my handsome youngest at the academic awards ceremony at his school.

Here he is w/a friend and all I can notice in this picture are the stains on his shirt.
After the ceremony the principal came up to me and said what a great kid Johnny was and how he will do well. It was nice to hear for sure but I know. He is a very well rounded kid. Gets along w/everyone, does great in school and is a very good athlete. Sensible, kind and caring. Does he clean his room? Not if you ask him a million times. Ah well.
Johnny is moving on to the High School and Lisa will be a senior. Today is the last day of school. Yes! I despise keeping up w/all that stuff I have to sign and riding the kids on reading and homework. Break out the summer baby!

Mary, congrats I know you are proud the stain thing to funny, Well the mayor fell sunday night in his not so clean room and cracked the back of his head 15 staples, he's ok maybe he'll clean his room now. I'm going to write a post today on the soprano's. I liked it

Mary congrats. I live with the stain children and have learned to not let it upset me anymore. For a while I thought about sewing a big on all their shirts.

My what a handsome son you have there. Did you cry? I always cried at those things. Boys always have stains. I was the same way, I couldn't wait for summer. I got so tired of fighting with all those teachers...lol..

Wow I hope he's okay. I am going to have to share that story w/Johnny. MAYBE he will clean his room. Not holding my breath. I'm so sorry for the mayor though.

Lynn- I really am. How can I help it?

Greg- I know I should just be happy that he had on nice pants and a collar. I won't be seeing that again for awhile.

Just Me- YOu know when I cried? During Color Guard before the awards. All I could think was how Michael used to be in this school and then how I first saw him at boot camp graduation standing all straight like the CG. Broke my heart.

Stain on his shirt! OMG! My kids always went to those things with a split lip or an attitude of the grinch. Lots of luck getting the rooms clean.

Congratulations to Johnny on the graduation, and to you for getting him to that point.

He was in the second picture too? All I could see was a really pretty girl ;)

He's a kid - not the good fairy!:) And I can relate to those stains. I catch hell when we go out if I'm not careful. I always say I look good in anything I eat.

You and John should be proud. They don't get like him w/o a lot of hard work, and loving parents!
