This week my adorable niece and nephew were visiting. Oh and their parents too. They stayed on the ocean and we met them on the beach most days.

I even had them all to myself one day when their mother and father went golfing. Johnny was a huge help and a natural.

I have never seen two children who looked more like their parents. I don't think that any of my FOUR children resemble me.

I wore my IMPEACH shirt while I was on the beach. There were some fans and they let me know. One day I went to the grocery store (ugh) after the beach while wearing the shirt. A man was blocking my path and I said "Excuse me." He said, "Oh sorry I was reading your shirt. Something about peaches." Whatever.
(See Kitchen Window Woman I hang mine out too.)

So Sunday I stayed on the beach too long because I didn't want to leave those darling babies. I am going down the street to camp at Assateague for a couple days and I have alot of crap to pack up. Hate packing. Hate it. When I finally get there and everything is all set up and I'm eating lobsters and clams and enjoying the moonlight on the beach then it will be okay. Until then I'm a gonna be cranky getting all this crap together. Anyway I doubt you'll hear from me for the rest of the week.

Seafood & moonlit beaches seem like a reasonable reward for an unpleasant job. Keep your eye on the prize and enjoy!

('Course I'm not jealous, just off the meds is all.) Enjoy, though I think that's a given, anyway. Those kids up there are too cute to not to be related to you - gorgeous, aren't they? (smile).

Take lots of bug spray. We were there until dusk last night, and the mosquitos were swarming after the sun and wind went down.

Now I guess it ain't 'apples' or 'pears' but 'peaches' for you!! LOL
enjoy your time away. try not to get too cranky, that'll take precious energy away from the good stuff you're soaking in while enjoying the good food..

We love babies!

All four of our boys looked the exact same- in fact if we didn't label the early pictures, Karen & I can't tell them apart now.

We're getting to enjoy it all over again now with our 4 year old grandaughter (the "hurricane") and our four month old grandson. And we're expecting another granddaughter in November.

And we love anti-bush regime t-shirts, so what a great post!

I swear I commented already . . . must be all the burned out braincells, coming to fore . . .

This post makes me smile . . . Assateague, camping, surfing, camaraderie, food, smiles . . . been there, and plan to do that, many times more . . .

In fact, one of the first camping trips I'll do is Assateague, in late October or early November . . . a solo . . .

I know it sounds insane, but it's really quite transcendent . . .

Paz y sonrisas . . . (peace and smiles in Spanish) . . .

You did already comment. You just hit the wrong comment button this time. But please comment as often as you wish. The trip was my favorite. And camping alone sounds excellent. I could do it.
