Life is Beautiful?
I recently acquired 2! paintings. I can't tell you how much I love these. They definitely bring me pleasure. I know material things are not supposed to be where I get my joy but it's art. That's not a material thing really is it? The first is Evening Rose by Kevin Fitzgerald who is a local artist that I've always admired. It is actually a glicee print. I bid in a silent auction which I never do because everyone has more money than I do. I got lucky for a change. The 2nd is a painting by my good friend, whom you've seen in my blog before, Deb Rolig. This painting is called "Monkey Madonna" and I have long adored this painting. I've tried to take a couple pictures to share with you. It was hard not to get a glare. Check them out.
Now this gave me a chuckle. I found these pictures on the kitchen table this morning. What on earth do you do with that many pictures of your son in a singlet?
Johnny always did like a picture of himself. We were just reminiscing about this photo below that he had to have in 8 x 10 size to hang in his room. He told me he was positive he looked hot that day. Now when he sees it he wants to get rid of it. I of course do think he looked hot. Like a little surfer boy with his curly hair. So cute. I miss those curls.
Oh and I finally cleaned the aforementioned teens room. I walked in there one morning and next thing you know I was cleaning. Scary. Maybe that was the cause of my funk. Or maybe it's the damn reading glasses and lack of memory. I better shutup now because I see my dark side is about to spring a leak.
