No accounting...

"There's just no accounting for happiness,
or the way it turns up like a prodigal
who comes back to the dust at your feet"
-- Jane Kenyon

There you have it! No accounting. Comes and goes. I'm feeling more like myself. OR I'm forcing myself to. I've been very busy this week. I have 2 helpers in the studio currently. My daughter Lisa and her friend. They both need a job for a school program. It's hard to get a job around here this time of year so I took them in. It's a pain because I have to create work for them BUT that is good because I'm in the studio making stuff and that always makes me happy. We are working on 2 mirrors and finishing up a dry sink that's been on the back burner for-everrrrrr.

I also have made up some pillows this week for a good friend. I really dislike this kind of thing and seem to curse alot when I do it but the end result is passable. I still need to get some more filling for the last two.

My children are up to their normal routine of keeping my head spinning. Lisa has now been accepted at SVA in NYC which is very exciting. Now I just need to hear from those scholarships!!!!!

Oh yeah! I found myself behind this vehicle the other day which made me feel I was not so all alone. ( You may have to click on it to see what the sticker says.)

Impeach the Chimp indeed.

When we create, we are most human, which probably explains Chimpy's Chimpness, the asshole hasn't spent a day in his life creating a damn thing.

And Misery doesn't count.

"Making work" for the workers is twice as hard a working, I think! On the other hand...two more souls in the room tends to keep those dratted gremlins out.:)

Good news on the school!

Good news about the creativity! Life is worrisome without it.

Bad news no one in this administration will ever be held accountable for anything and everything they've done! ; (

Seeing gw mock and dance (?) around has been quite depressing.

I laughed at the bumper sticker - very good!!

I also noticed the other sticker on this truck - the one about Fenwick Island.

Years ago (in a place far, far away) I was arrested in Fenwick Island for sleeping on the beach. My cousin and I drove from DC over to the Ocean City area and somehow ended up in Fenwick Island.

It was late at night and being a couple of kids, well, we just ended up sleeping on the beach. About 3 a.m. we heard a voice and saw a flashlight. We were hauled in before some magistrate who had been gotten up in the middle of the night.

We were each fined $25 and told not to sleep on the beach again. We only had about $15 between us, so we game them that money and were ordered to send the rest to them when we got back to Iowa...

Needless to say we sort of forgot... I wonder if I am still a fugitive??

Take care!

Russell! Great story! It's hard to believe they would go to so much trouble for 2 sleeping kids.

Fenwick Island is exactly were I was at the time. The ocean is right in front of us. I live right outside of Ocean City. I can't imagine what they'd do if you slept on the beach now.

CM- I think the accountability part is what really bums me out. :(

TUA- It does tend to force me to show up!

Fairlane- I've been meaning to tell you I love that movie that your icon comes from. I can't think of the name... Labyrinth. It's one of my favorites.
So right about the chimp.
And I do feel my best out there. So my workers are a blessing in disguise. I'm on a roll! All kinds of ideas.

Hi Mary~ Glad you are feeling better.
The kids are abuzz in the studio & bumper stuckers provide levity.

Ah yes, creating beautiful things can't fail but to lift you up. I'm impressed with the pillows. I do try (I'm into machine embroidery) but not one of my finished projects are ever quite as square or straight as they were meant to be. Last project was a pillow for a special friend (almost perfect it was) then I went and stuffed it up by sewing the zip in upsidesdown (sigh).

Great news about your daughter (clever girl)!

Love the fabric of those pillows. I just purchased all new bedding for myself. Hmmm... those gold pillows would look nice on my bed. (chuckle) I'll have to put a bug in my sister-in-law's ear. She sews.

Great news about Lisa's acceptance at SVA.

Pan's Labyrinth.

My avatar is the "Pale Man."

We're two peas in a pod.

I'm evil, he's evil.

He's skinny, I'm skinny.

He gets pissed when little girls wake him up, I hate it when telemarketers wake me up.

He eats children, I eat vegetarian lasagna.

And best of all, the Converse symbols fit perfectly in the eye holes he has in his hands.
