This and That

This is the little weather forecaster on my wall. Yesterday this dude was wearing his swimming trunks! That's what I'm talking about! The weather is gorgeous again today and I don't see a cloud in sight so I don't know why he's got his umbrella.

Everything is getting green, green, green. I can't tell you how much I needed this. This is one dull brown, flat place in the winter.

Finally took a picture of the other mirror. I love the color combination here though I'm not sure how many people it will appeal to also. We'll see. I've got to get a web page made for my work. Next thing on this list.

We have been making hand rolled tiles this week in the studio for a job. I had some leftover clay scraps and told the girls to make some fun shapes we could use in future mosaics. I came back a couple hours later and I was so pleased! They came up with some nice stuff.

Enjoy your weekend. I'm going outside and working in the yard. Very happily I might add.

aaahhhh, violets! Love them! I really like the mirror, but I can see that some might find the color too bold. I love big color, so ....

hope it stays dry and warm this weekend!

If he's anything like my weather stations forecasting abilities, he's clueless!..(: Nosy: Does he ever show up nude?:) My WS just shows clouds, rain, sun, etc. for forecasts. Like this morning around 10, it showed a big ole Sun.....by 11 we had one hell of a series of Tstorms. I don't count on it too heavily.:)

Hayden- I love violets too! They are so simple.
Yes many people are afraid of color. I get depressed without it.

TUA- Hmmm. I've never noticed him nude but I will keep my eye out for that this summer. LOL!

Nice work on the mirror, Mary!

I agree about the green. It seems like it's been a long brown (and white) winter. The green, ALIVE earth does my mind and soul good.

I hope you had a fun time working in your yard. Was your umbrella carrying little weather guy overly precautious or psychic?

Beautiful pics, Mary. We're anticipating 71° here today, the nicest day so far this month, with no other over 65° in the next 10 days. Nut Portland stays green year round.

I took a day off, went to the dentist and worked in the garden. Our tree is a Kwansa Cherry. (not sure about the spelling) I really like the picture frame mosaic.

I am jealous seeing so much green. Our trees here have just the beginning of leaves and the weekend is supposed to be another cold, rainy one. Bring on SPring already.

Mary, is there a...never mind. Had an inappropriate question about that weather station.

I've always loved the mid-atlantic region for actually having 4 seasons. When the wife and I lived in Miami, there were 2 seasons - warm and stinking hot.

Great garden pictures. I like the new mosaic too - your work is gaining a complex harmony that's very pleasant to see.

Yep, everything got so green, so fast here also!

What a wacky weather forecaster! ; )

And nice work as always. I'm sure once you get an official page, you'll be busy......

Cheers!

Carol- Yes he was.

Tomcat- Hope the good weather sticks for you!

Ole Blue- Hey there! I have to agree. I quite enjoy it.

Chewy- Sorry about the dentist part.

Sornie- I really feel for you. I don't think I could have lasted another moment.

BB- Don't worry about inappropriate here.

Miami is a little far South but I do think I could handle warm weather all year round. That said, I've never done it. Always lived here in Maryland.

Fran- I'm enjoying it. All the flowers and plants! Winter is no fun for me any more as there never is any snow so what is to like?

Susan- Thank you! What a nice compliment. I do really feel like I'm getting it and progressing. Hopefully it will stick.

CM- I hope you are right. Will need the $$$ for college tuition.
