war veterans at their age.... I salute them and their families. (and to you too, Mary)
Happ 4th. Wow...great video. Let's bring them home.
Seeing those guys crippled and maimed forever just because of flaming asshole does not make me feel the least bit proud on this day, but rather, deeply ashamed!I understand your desire to honor those who (are forced) to fight his war, and it is appreciated. It would be even more appreciated if somebody would shoot that bastard!
Like TUA, I don't feel proud... Just sad.
I agree with you both (TUA and Carol). My hope is that by people seeing their stories people will realize what the hell war means. So many are so disconnected it makes me ill.
Such heartbreak! These people's lives are turned upside down. The Bush admin has figured out a way to entice people to enlist, but never figured post war care into the equation. Add that to his list of serious crimes.
Hi Mary. Since we had to give up cable and the 'net due to the high cost of living, most of my 'net contact is at the Library where due to firewalls I can't play multi-media :(You are now put on my Friendlies list. This poem that I posted about a bit ago sums up a lot of my feelings on it all -For EliPeace.
Human- The poem really, really, really told it like it is. Thanks for showing me that.
namaste....let's get them home...thank you for posting this video....it is so sad...all of it...I spent the day downtown at Fed building the other day- talked to quite a few VETS.....so wrong....they are not valued or treated well enough....( I have a post up about Sanibel that I put up yesterday.....I thought of you....it is about pizza that I used to be able to get there...but still make....)take care friend...
Sadly I'm thinking only the people who care already understand this, and those who don't will continue to keep a blind eye. ; (
Mary, I did not realize I might've been close to you when we stayed in Chevy Chase MD (friendship heights, on the red line)..sorry I did not try to contact you..what a great opportunity that would've been!! (ok, you might've been too busy but still..[s])your artwork below is beautiful, honestly. My son is getting clay making exposure in his summer camp (animation in the morning, clay work in the afternoon)..he seems to like it.As you could tell from my post, 'we're' still at it trying to help in our own way, whichever way that ends up being. it's a bid frustrating but like randy pausch said, if the brick wall is up, how important is this for you?? Well, it still is.enjoy your time in the garden..hugsIngrid
you've been quiet quite a while - I hope that it means you're deeply immersed in your art - and you and yours are all well.
