How the US news media fails us

It's not like most of you reading this didn't know this but it is really good to see someone speaking out. It needs LOTS of attention. Take the 9 minutes sometime today and watch this.
Thank you to my friend Susun for sending this to me.

This is a "form comment" to my blog buddies.

Poor old Bloggin' Babzy was all worn out so I had to kill her off and bury her in the "Garden of the Past" along with a few other characters, thought patterns, bad habits, and old shoes. In time I will be starting a brand new blog with a completely different focus and will send you the link.

Until then enjoy the rest of the summer my friend. Take care.

awesome video and what a great find. Isn't it maddening to be listening to that? And this Bush looks like such a bozo..he's so irresponsible. Now, yes, we knew that, the man made a case for going to war in Iraq but it's the epitome of arrogance to 'just' give in to an industry in re. to this mercury rule..
investigative reporting..we need to do it now ourselves don't we??

and not blink in the face of the automatons who repeat what the MSM says.. unfortunately, my husband falls in that category as I think he has a certain image of what the US is and he cannot reconcile how dirty that image really is.. a bit yes, a lot... no.

Ingrid, he's a cavema. Move out and on. Mary, geat fucking post. I'll be linking to it very soon. Why this guy doesn't run for office I'll never know. A billionaire who speaks the truth, go figure.

Any way, right on, Sister. Great post.

How is your son? Hope everything is ok. Give me a shout if you need to.

Babzy- Can't wait to hear from the new you!

Ingrid- Unfortunately we do need to be the investigative report. That's why its so great to see this video.

D- I would love to see him in the White House too but you can't blame him for not wanting to. Anyway I have to again thank my friend Su who found this gem.

Michael is doing okay and I believe he will be home soon. Thank you very much for asking and caring.

BB- The more people who post it the better!

Maria- He really is. He makes it easy to understand everything he is saying which the public seems to really need.

He is so right about everyyhing! This isn't about Right v Left, but about the unfettered flow of information, and the quality thereof! I remember when Reagan abolished the Fairness Doctrine. There was barely a murmur. Since all news outlets were freed from responsibility to the people, they became free to be responsible to themselves, which meant that all important profit and loss statement. At that point, all supposed "News" programs including the evening news, became entertainment TV designed for the all important ratings. We see them promo'd as such today - and nobody sees the crime.

Fewer and fewer folks in this country even know what an investigative reporter is! GREAT work, Mary!!

I remember it was in 1993 when I got my first glimpse of Bah hah Rushy, both on radio and on late night TV, not long after 1988. I was appalled then and have increasingly grown sorrow for our social standards as time has proceded on.

Seems that our society has simply decided to ignore the lessons of history and could care less about what that means to our future.

It's hard to believe that those in power today were even introduced to life by parents who lived through the depression and around during the tragedy known as Vietnam.

Do these people not even remember why the speed limit was dropped down to 55 mph in the first place back in the 70's? And somehow it's just becoming newsworthy to talk about Gas conservation when a politician mentions putting air in the tires.

Gosh sorry, that clip got my soap box mentality going. Thanx for the share.

(This is a HATE FREE comment - although I am deeply concerned for the mess my generation has to clean up in the upcoming months and years)
