No worries. We are all going to die anyway.

I still have a few things to say. Here is an excellent article. (Little excerpt below.) I advise reading the entire piece.) I feel strongly about the link between lifestyle and our health. We really have to slow down, wake up and be conscious of what is going on.

"Doctors will continue to fail with cancer until they buck the training and accept that a patient is not some collection of malfunctioning cells but a human out of homeostasis. We have cultures alive today who don’t get cancer. No stress, no speed cameras, no mobile phones, no Iraq War. Don’t get me wrong, I truly believe 21st civilisation has much to commend it but there are the downsides. As Berglas says, we’re a toxic society and that includes the medicines. If cancer is striking 1 in 3 of us, that means something is going fundamentally wrong and we’re either going to be honest about it or continue canoeing down that long river in Egypt called De-Nial, splurfing down the rat-burgers until the meat-wagon comes to collect us."

"In other words, your body is an amazing piece of kit. During my decades of public research, the overwhelming impression I got was how little the citizen was being taught about what they could do for themselves. Thus they were forced to rely on the ’experts’. Thankfully this is changing. Jamie Oliver and Gillian McKeith are but two of the personalities these days hosting programs in an effort to change our behaviour. Government, so quick to sticky-beak into every nook and cranny of our lives, seems not to be bothered. ‘Healthcare’ costs rocket as doctors continue their ignorance of diet and lifestyle. Cancer remains the corporate preserve of vested interests, these days spearheading legislation in some countries that would make an SS Sturmbahnfuhrer blush. Parents arrested at gunpoint for refusing chemo for their children. Kiddies whisked away to be forcefully medicated to preserve their ‘human rights’. Mums on the run to avoid toxic AIDS drugs for their children. Refusing vaccinations for little Annabelle in Maryland USA can these days bring a SWAT team to your door.

So simple....yet, society as a whole will not make money, if you aren't doing things in excess and aren't in balance.

BTW, didn't realize ya'll were so young ; )

Cheers!

Yikes....I may have previously commented before my coffee. What a weird comment, that makes no sense.

$$$ rules everything, although it shouldn't. The sicker you are, the more $$$ these entities will continue to make.

Lifestyle and balance helps to stop the sickness that perpetuates the cycle.

Hmmm, maybe too much coffee today.

Cheers!

Perfect comment! We really do have to take matters in our own hands and control our own health by staying healthy.
Okay I need my coffee now.

I agree completely. Shocked yesterday to hear someone say - carefully, obscurely - that an older relative of hers is dying of their cancer treatment, just as another did last year. She's not a rebel, follows docs orders - but even she could see it, admit it. These 'cures' are often fatal.

I knew that if I'd stayed in my job it was a death sentence, but that sounds so foolish, so melodramatic. Statistical truth though. High stress jobs aren't good for longevity. I was 'reasonably healthy' but In the year and a half since my health has become much stronger. No one wants to face this stuff, no one wants to change, find a new way. It's scary to do it, you're plunging into the unknown while 'popular opinion' says it isn't even necessary. De-Nial indeed!

Hayden you and I both know change IS scary. But you soon find out it is invigorating and exciting. How can your health not improve? We all have to put on our thinking caps and be our own health advocates which means educating ourselves.
